Nihiwatu has seven luxury bungalows and three, two-bedroom villas for occupancy of approximately 30 guests, but they limit the number of surfers to 9. If you have ever surfed a world class break with 8 other guys, you know that number is better then perfect: waves going unridden, plenty for everyone.
The bungalows and villas were hand-crafted in traditional Indonesian style, with modern conveniences cleverly added: Thatched roofs and air conditioning, rattan chairs and hair dryers, mosquito nets and mini-bars. All the bungalows are beautifully finished and furnished; each having a verandah with ocean views that will stay in your daydreams for the rest of your life.
Community facilities include open living and dining room, a cliff-top bar and a communications center for those who need to stay in touch with the outside world. The restaurant and open-air dinning pavilions overlook the sea and miles of white sand beached backed by lush forest and rice paddies. The two pools provide an area to relax in the sun or shade, taking intermittent dips to keep cool.
Nihiwatu offers massage and body treatments at the Jungle Spa and Hill Top spa to rejuvenate the body and soul. Yoga, Pilates and meditation classes are also available to suit enthusiasts of any level.
The meals are a gourmet combination of local and international: fresh homegrown vegetables, imported meats and your catch of the day. Savory soups, barbequed fish, salads, pasta and fresh fruits. The international wine selection will complement any meal.
