Aura Surf Resort :: THE RESORT
Aura Surf resort has three traditional thatched palm Indonesian bungalows, with exteriors of local bamboo and hardwood, modernized and made comfortable with electricity, ceiling fans, comfortable beds, mosquito nets and western bathrooms (no hot water – but you don’t miss it).
Each bungalow has two rooms. Two of the bungalows can sleep four (2 in each room), while the larger bungalow can sleep six (3 each side) – for a maximum of 14 guests. Each bungalow shares one bathroom between the two rooms.
Beds are comfortable for your surf-aching bodies and all are equipped with secure mosquito nets. The bungalows have comfortable bathrooms in the back, and comfortable verandahs in front – so you can chill out in a comfy chair or hammock and watch your friends get shacked.
The main house has a dining room and bar, satellite TV and DVD. There is USB Internet access in the main house, but faster Internet service close by in the local village.
What? You say you get hungry after surfing sunup to sundown in perfect waves with a dozen other people? They say the way to a surfer’s stomach is through his mouth and Aura is staffed by local geniuses who use local meat and produce to produce a steady flow of traditional Indonesian dishes with Western and international options mixed in over the course of the week.
Breakfast is served from 6:00 to 10:00 AM and mixes fresh fruit, muesli, fruit juice, coconuts and coconut milk, rice and eggs. Perfect fuel for hours of surfing and exploring.
Dinner is from 6:00 to 8:30 PM – jackets not required – and mixes vegetables, chicken, fish, eggs, fruit, rice and Indonesian specialties like mi goring, gadogado, tempe and tofu. The camp provides unlimited fresh fruit and purified drinking water.
