Casa Del Sol is the best hotel fronting the beach in front of the main break at Montanita.  The property is divided into two smaller areas split by the small dead end street leading to the break.  The front parcel faces the beach and contains the “beach bar” and 8 room two story accommodation block.  The back parcel contains the main restaurant, bar, entertainment stage and administration. This back unit is built using local stone and hard woods.  All rooms are air conditioned, have private bathrooms and hot water.  The vibe of the property is social, attracting surfers from all over the world. 

The hotel is a short walk from town of Montanita down the main road or beach (depending on tide).  This fun little party town segmented by dirt roads is host to a variety of restaurants, shops and bars.  The atmosphere is fun and lively year round, but especially during Carnival which typically takes place in February.  The Casa Del Sol is perfectly located allowing guests to visit town, but not so close that town comes to the hotel.
