Aquadesiac Yacht Charter :: OVERVIEW
The Aquadesiac is a beautiful replica of a classic Grand Banks Trawler that was custom built by Fibroplastico SA in San Jose, Costa Rica in 1996. Rigged to explore all the surf-filled nooks and crannies of Costa Rica and Nicaragua, this 52-foot motor yacht is powered by two, 135 horsepower Cummins turbo diesel engines which give it a cruising speed of 10 to 12 knots.
Speed and comfort: This is the best way to explore Costa Rica, as a surf charter eliminates all the hassles of renting cars, staying in hotels, worrying about your gear and most of all: those teeth-jarring panga rides that take hours to get to a spot, usually arriving a little too late, and leaving a little too early.
Charter a surf trip on the Aquadesiac and you will wake up to good surf, get in a solid session before everyone else shows up, take a nap and have lunch while the Panga Come Latelys are battling it out and then paddle out around 3:00 as the pangamaniacs are all paddling to their boats – wondering why they didn’t book a live-aboard charter.
Aquadesiac is surf charter in the style of the Mentawai or Maldives, but with a Pura Vida flavor. Home ported in Playa Hermosa, only 20 minutes from Liberia International Airport, Aquadesiac goes north 20 miles to Witch’s Rock and Ollie’s Point, and has the range to go all the way up to southern Nicaragua – less than 100 miles north as the parakeet flies.
